Fleet Foxes came to UCSB to play a show on April 20th, and I finally saw Skye perform after being friends with him for over six years. He hooked me up ridiculously well, giving me two comp tickets and two backstage passes (which I gave to Kyle to enjoy with me), and we hung out a couple hours before the show and after it. I also talked to Eric Earley from Blitzen Trapper (let's just say I swooned).
Fleet Foxes sounds even better live, and Robin's quips are endearingly humble and amusing. I don't know the rest of the boys, but they all appeared to be such excellent characters, and I'm so glad Skye has/is finding the success he has always deserved.
